Tutoring
Ideal for middle school students requiring a professional educator to walk beside them as they navigate the foundations of secondary learning. Our 1 on 1 lessons can improve the learning outcomes for students by removing classroom distractions, while reducing the anxieties often associated with modern schooling. By assisting with homework loads, assignments and/or assessment revision, we can support students with their current subject topics by breaking down the learning objectives and clarifying new concepts at a pace best suited to them.
Casual rates for one to one tuition with predefined learning objectives occur at a rate of $110 per 50 minute session, with payment to be made on the day.
Special Learning Needs
By incorporating the Orton Gillingham (OG) approach to Multisensory Structured Language, children engage with literacy principles through considered, whole of brain activities. These repetitive and fast paced lessons stimulate student’s curiosity, while establishing deep neurological pathways in the brains memory function, allowing learning to take place at an accelerated rate. (Blomert, L et al. 2010).
Structure and implementation of an OG lessons.
The repetitive, predictable pattern of learning that OG envelopes, helps children feel secure and confident. After a few lessons, they know what to expect and are familiar with the pattern of activities. This instils confidence and trust between teacher and student, promoting a settled and routine driven approach to learning.
