Headed by special needs educator and mentor Daniel Froiland, Beyond Brilliant Education partners with parents as they navigate the raising of children and the development of minds, while whole-heartedly engaging with the children in our care in a respectful, empathetic and genuine manner. This makes learning not only fun, but relevant to real world expectations.
Our learning programs are structured sequentially, so that lessons remain relevant and progressively build towards the logical understanding of a topic. Children who struggle to engage with learning, cant sit still, wont listen nor produce consistent academic results, these are my people, for I was once one of them.
Once I understood what was inhibiting my learning, I realised that I could achieve any academic accolade I desired. Over the past 20 years I have graduated from Business College, succeed at a Postgraduate level in Law, completed my Arts degree in English Literature and received my Masters in Teaching (Secondary Education). In 2021 I commenced my honours thesis in Education Research, focusing on middle years ideologies, with a few to apply for doctoral candidacy. I have recently completed the foundation and advanced courses for both OG – Multi-Sensory Structured Language (MSL) and Sounds-Write Phonics. Having taught in several schools across the state, I appreciate the benefits that each of these programs can offer, and are well placed to bring relief to parents as they observe their children grow in confidence and enhance their capacity to learn.
I am the proud father of four children: one who has been diagnosed with ASD, two with ADHD, while all three with special needs have been assessed with dyslexia and dysgraphia. Their joyous personalities and enthusiastic antics outshine their learning challenges, as I’ve endured the frustrations of recruiting support for their various needs. With an amazing team of allied health professionals and educators by my side, I believe the interventions in place have greatly benefitted their personal development. Through ongoing professional support, my children have been assured the best possible chance of leading an independent, successful and fulfilling life.
Honoured to reside in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, I am an active member of my community. As an enthusiastic sportsman I’ve recently turned my attention away from team contact sports and now enjoy the pursuit of Crossfit activities, distance running and joining a pack of MAMIL’s for a Sunday ride. Well travelled with a love for the arts, the children and I are always planning an adventure to test our boundaries and indulge in new cultures.
I come to you, so your child feels relaxed and comfortable in their own setting

I understand dyslexia and inattention to learning at a personal level.
I appreciate how difficult learning is and how hard it is to sit still, listen and recall information.
I can assess a child’s current stage of learning, and implement a literacy program to meet their needs.
I connect well with young people and build genuine relationships with my students. This connections forges trust and confidence between teacher and student, as together we address the cause of their academic obsticles.
